{"id":179,"date":"2013-01-01T11:37:52","date_gmt":"2013-01-01T19:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spriggy.com\/?p=179"},"modified":"2015-04-22T11:39:33","modified_gmt":"2015-04-22T18:39:33","slug":"5-resolutions-you-can-keep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spriggy.com\/?p=179","title":{"rendered":"5 Resolutions you can keep"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"separator\" style=\"text-align: center;\">HAPPY NEW YEAR!<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>yes I&#8217;m yelling\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\">It&#8217;s that time of year that we hold ourselves accountable for new goals and set expectations of the coming year. \u00a0However, how often do we resolve to do the same things year after year. \u00a0Do we even stop to write them down \u00a0or do we have the list memorized from years prior. \u00a0Resolutions become moot after a few weeks or even days. \u00a0However, this year can be different. \u00a0Commit to 5 items that will surely make a difference across the year to improve relationships and increase energy, allowing you to conquer the world. \u00a0 Simple and easy principles of betterment.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\"><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-gM1ERS9OWX4\/UODZqFKb3zI\/AAAAAAAACpg\/RbpXWyrYEn4\/s1600\/Resol.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-gM1ERS9OWX4\/UODZqFKb3zI\/AAAAAAAACpg\/RbpXWyrYEn4\/s400\/Resol.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><b>1. \u00a0Smile More<\/b><br \/>\nNo extra time required! \u00a0You can accomplish it whenever and wherever you are. \u00a0Is it easy? \u00a0Maybe not, but the fact is we will be happier if we do. \u00a0It may be responsible for mending bridges, opening doors and\u00a0stabilizing\u00a0relationships. \u00a0Just like my mother told me &#8211; fake it, until you make it. \u00a0Your world will be brighter and you may bring joy to those who need it.<\/p>\n<p><b>2. \u00a0Keep in Contact<\/b><br \/>\nFriendship is eternal and is more valuable than we may even be aware of. \u00a0How many of us have lost contact with treasured friends, co-workers and even family members. Reach out to an individuals and build relationships. \u00a0Even if it&#8217;s once a year. \u00a0Even if its facebook poke. \u00a0Keeping in contact may require some additional effort but its overall purpose is to let people know you care and bring us closer together as human beings. \u00a0One minute of our time may improve the 24 hours of our day. \u00a0You never know when you may be the needed friend or when you may need that friend.<\/p>\n<p><b>3. \u00a0Drink more water<\/b><br \/>\nIt can&#8217;t hurt, it saves money and it increases our energy over time. \u00a0Is there anything\u00a0debatable\u00a0about this? \u00a0It even decreases wrinkles if I&#8217;ve read reputable sources. You CAN\u00a0definitely\u00a0do this. \u00a0Push away the soda, drive past\u00a0Starbucks\u00a0and reach for a water bottle. \u00a0Dehydration even mildly, causes mood swings, headaches and fatigue. \u00a0And the list goes on. Even if it&#8217;s one more glass a day than we are drinking currently. \u00a0It is estimated that 50% of the world population is\u00a0dehydrated\u00a0with the US nearing 75% dehydration. \u00a0Why isn&#8217;t it we didn&#8217;t have the energy to do anything? \u00a0This might just solve the problem.<\/p>\n<p><b>4. Eat Less sugar<\/b><br \/>\nI am guilty of eating way to much sugar. \u00a0My love affair with finding the next carb filled,\u00a0gluttonous\u00a0item, to fulfill the relationship with my sweet tooth \u00a0has controlled me far to many years. \u00a0I am not alone. \u00a0A radical change may be fruitless as we bound back to our old ways in the face of temptation. However, one less cookie is beneficial. \u00a0Eating fruit as a replacement improves our fiber intake. \u00a0Having power over this addictive relationship will be unleashing our true potential. <i>That might be an small\u00a0exaggeration.<\/i>\u00a0Increased energy, smaller waste line, less dental problems and decreased heart disease, are just a few factual benefits. The quality of our long term health would be greatly improved.<\/p>\n<p><b>5. Increase Motion<\/b><br \/>\n<i>Notice that I didn&#8217;t say exercise.<\/i>\u00a0Commit to demonstrate the physics of energy. \u00a0Convert potential energy to kinetic energy. Don&#8217;t stay\u00a0sedentary.\u00a0 Movement throughout the day is better for our overall health. \u00a0Take the stairs vs. the elevator. \u00a0Park further away from the door at a store or office building. Wash your car by hand. \u00a0Any activity that keeps you moving by burning energy will benefit you. Even in little doses from what you may be currently doing. Our circulation will increase, our blood will flow and move oxygen will reach our brain, allowing us to think more clearly.<\/p>\n<p>Little effort = Huge outcome.
